My wife and I met Tobias at an open house in Laguna Beach a few years back. Being an attorney, real estate developer and broker myself, I was confident (probably over-confident), that I knew more about real estate than most. Even with most of my business and investments out of the area, and with a busy business and home life, I thought that I could find a home on my own, without the help of a local professional. I was certainly not looking for an agent to represent us.
In speaking to Tobias that day, it was clear that he is very bright, personable, and professional and knew the real estate market very well. We were specifically looking for a property on or close to the water as an investment/second home. We had seen several places on our own over the years but never the right property at the right price. I conveyed all of this to Tobias.
We kept in touch with Tobias over the next year or so. Tobias was very diligent in keeping us up to date on changing market conditions and on new listings, usually the day they were listed. We were very picky. We looked at several properties. Despite seeing several very nice properties, to that point we had passed on them all. During this time I gradually came around to seeing the immense benefit in using Tobias as our local agent.
Tobias introduced us to the home that we ultimately purchased and we immediately loved it. Despite the complications of a long, drawn-out and complicated round of negotiations and escrow, Tobias was critical in keeping it all together. At several points, the deal nearly fell through, mainly due to our indecision. Tobias argued both the pros and cons of buying the property and walking away from the deal. It was clear that he believed it was a very good buy, and he let us know that as well. The great part about it was, there was never any pressure from Tobias and no push to close. Tobias stated on several occasions throughout the process words to the effect, if this is not the right one, I will help you find it.
We did end up buying the home and could not be happier. It turned out to be a great buy fmancially but more importantly, the use and joy our family gets out of the home is immeasurable. Tobias was absolutely critical in keeping it together and in making our dream a reality. Without question, if Tobias was not involved we would not have closed escrow. We would have regretted that decision for a long time to come.
I continue to use Tobias in searching for property throughout South Orange County. I have no doubt that Tobias will help me to purchase many properties in the years to come.

We bought and sold a home with you all within 40 days including the move, In “2006” this is unheard of.
